Made by the owner of The Hippodrome Cinema in Redhill, these films would have proved a useful way of drawing audiences into the cinema. A compilation of two films showing the Reigate carnival in and The first talkies in the borough were shown at Reigate Hippodrome but at the Pavilion Mr Reynolds took the opportunity in to install the Movietone and Vitaphone apparatus on which many films were being made.
